One beautiful evening, Amara was playing in her bedroom when something sparkled beneath her bed.

*Twinkle… twinkle… FLASH!*

“What’s that?” she whispered.

She reached underneath and pulled out a tiny golden lantern covered in colorful stars.

A little note was tied to its handle.

**”Make a wish, believe it’s true, and watch the magic shine in YOU!”**

Amara’s eyes grew wide.

“A MAGIC LANTERN?!”

She closed her eyes tightly.

“I wish I could fly!”

Nothing happened.

She tried again.

“I wish I could turn invisible!”

Still nothing.

She shook the lantern.

She tapped it.

She even turned it upside down!

“HELLOOOO? Is this thing working?”

Suddenly, a tiny golden sparkle floated from the lantern and formed a glowing doorway in the middle of her room.

Amara gasped.

“Whoa!”

Before she could say another word…

*WHOOOOOSH!*

She tumbled through the doorway and landed on a soft bed of rainbow-colored flowers.

She was in the Enchanted Forest!

And standing right in front of her were seven familiar faces.

“AMARA!” they cheered.

Bravo, Plucky, Splash, Tenderly, Truly, Finn, and Una rushed over to greet her.

“What’s that?” asked Plucky, pointing to the lantern.

“It’s supposed to be magical,” Amara sighed. “But it won’t grant any of my wishes.”

Una tilted her head.

“Maybe it needs a different kind of magic.”

“A different kind?” Amara asked.

Just then, the ground began to rumble.

*RUMBLE! RUMBLE!*

The friends turned around.

The beautiful Rainbow Tree in the center of the forest was losing its glow!

Its sparkling leaves were turning gray.

“Oh no!” cried Tenderly.

“The Rainbow Tree keeps the magic alive in our forest!” explained Truly.

Amara looked at her lantern.

“Maybe I can wish for the tree to glow again!”

She squeezed her eyes shut.

“I WISH THE RAINBOW TREE WOULD SHINE!”

Nothing.

Not even one little sparkle.

Amara’s shoulders dropped.

“I guess I’m just not magical.”

Bravo stepped forward.

“Well, you don’t need magic to be brave!”

He pointed toward a narrow path leading to the tree.

Amara took a deep breath.

“You’re right. Let’s go!”

The friends hurried along the path until they reached a rushing stream.

“I know!” Splash shouted. “Let’s find a happy way across!”

Together, they gathered stepping stones and made a path through the water.

When they reached the other side, they discovered a little bird crying beneath a bush.

“My nest fell!” it sniffled.

Tenderly gently helped the bird while Amara gathered twigs to rebuild its home.

“Thank you!” chirped the bird.

Amara’s lantern gave a tiny flicker.

*Twinkle!*

“Did you see that?” Amara asked.

But before anyone could answer, they heard another sound.

“HELP!”

A little fox was stuck behind a fallen branch.

Truly and Amara worked together to move it.

“Thank you for not leaving me!” said the fox.

The lantern flickered again.

*Twinkle! Twinkle!*

“Hmmm,” Amara whispered.

Something was happening.

At last, they reached the Rainbow Tree.

Its branches drooped sadly toward the ground.

Amara stepped forward.

“I don’t know how to fix you,” she said softly. “But I’m not giving up.”

Plucky spread her colorful feathers.

“Then let’s try something bold!”

Finn cleared away the leaves blocking the tree’s roots.

Splash brought fresh water.

Tenderly cared for the tiny flowers growing nearby.

Truly helped everyone work together.

Bravo encouraged them when they grew tired.

Una reminded each friend that their special gifts mattered.

And Amara?

She brought everyone together.

She listened.

She helped.

She believed in her friends.

Suddenly…

*TWINKLE! TWINKLE! TWINKLE!*

The golden lantern began to shine brighter than ever!

“IT’S WORKING!” Amara shouted.

A beautiful beam of rainbow light floated from the lantern and wrapped around the tree.

The branches lifted.

The leaves sparkled.

And with one magnificent…

**WHOOSHHHH!**

The Rainbow Tree burst into a thousand brilliant colors!

The entire forest glowed.

Amara stared at the lantern in amazement.

“But… I never made another wish!”

Una smiled.

“That’s because the magic wasn’t waiting for you to wish for something.”

Bravo grinned.

“It was waiting for you to believe in yourself!”

Amara looked at her seven friends.

Then she looked at the glowing tree.

She hadn’t flown through the sky.

She hadn’t turned invisible.

She hadn’t become a princess or a superhero.

But she had helped make something wonderful happen.

“Wait a minute,” Amara whispered.

“The magic was inside me all along?”

“YES!” everyone cheered.

Amara smiled her biggest smile.

“Then I know what my wish is!”

She lifted the lantern high.

“I wish we’ll always remember how special we are!”

The lantern shimmered one final time.

And across the Enchanted Forest, a beautiful message appeared in sparkling golden letters:

**BE BRAVE. BE BOLD. BE HAPPY. BE KIND. BE LOYAL. BE CLEAN. BE YOU.**

Amara laughed.

“Big adventures, little lessons!”

And all her friends shouted together:

**”AND ALWAYS BE-LIEVE IN YOU!”**
