Deep inside the Enchanted Forest was a beautiful bridge made of glowing golden vines. But this wasn’t an ordinary bridge.

It whispered.

Whoooosh… creaaaak… whoooosh!

One sunny morning, Bravo and Amara discovered the bridge while exploring.

“Look!” Amara said. “There’s a field of sparkling butterflies on the other side!”

Bravo’s eyes grew wide. He loved butterflies! But when he stepped toward the bridge, it began to sway.

Creeeeak!

Bravo jumped backward.

“ROAR! I mean… um… maybe we should go somewhere else,” he said.

Amara looked at her friend. “Are you scared, Bravo?”

“Me? Scared?” Bravo puffed out his chest. “I’m a lion!”

But his little paws were shaking.

Just then, a tiny butterfly landed on his nose.

“Being brave doesn’t mean you’re never afraid,” Amara reminded him. “Sometimes it means taking one little step.”

Bravo looked at the bridge.

He took one step.

Creeeeak!

Then another.

Whoooosh!

Halfway across, the wind blew harder. Bravo stopped.

“I can’t do it!” he cried.

Amara held out her hand.

“You already are doing it!”

Bravo looked behind him. He had come so far!

He took a deep breath.

“Little paws…” he whispered.

“BIG COURAGE!” Amara cheered.

Together, they crossed the bridge.

On the other side, hundreds of butterflies filled the sky with shimmering colors.

Bravo laughed and leaped into the air.

“I DID IT!”

And from that day forward, whenever Bravo felt afraid, he remembered something important.

Being brave doesn’t mean having no fear. It means believing you can take the next step.

Bravo’s lesson: Courage grows every time you try, even when you’re scared.

Think About It: What’s something new you’d like to try, even if it feels a little scary?

A little thought to share
